Jon Winkle aka Long Jon

Fri Oct 30, 2020 2:54 pm

Very sad news to all who knew Jon ,after several months of deteriorating health Jon went into liver failure as a result of his Myeloma and passed away peacefully on Wednesday (28th) in Dorchester Hospital.

Jon , my friend , I miss you already :-( . our chats on the phone and your visits for tea/coffee , chats and going out for gammon and chips .

you're still the record holder for the AA bear bearer as Ray has just told me. a record i hope will never be broken .

thank you for being part of my life , you cheered me up when I was down and although I cried like a 6 yrs girl when Sue emailed me I will smile whenever I think about you.

Rest in Peace , forever in our hearts and never forgotten .

Anyone wanting to make a donation to Jon's charity of choice (he said they were wonderful to him so reason enough for me) , just follow the link below :-

He was a lovely chap. Took everything thing in his stride. When we first met him he was eager to learn as much as possible in such a short time. He was a late comer to air guns and was enjoying every minute.
A record holder of the AirArms bear which I still have the photo 😎

Rest in peace dear friend

What sad news!

I met Jon at Black Cat along with yourselves, and found him to be a very likeable chap!
RIP John.

I've found a pic of us there.
