Hi There,
I “may” be able to help you, I swapped my regular stock on my S400 for a custom stock, I know the stock was in nice condition when I removed it, I “think” it’s an ambidextrous stock, but it’s almost nine years ago since I last looked at it so I will have to get it out and look at it for you, I will try later today or tomorrow and check it for you, but I am wheelchair disabled so it’s not so easy for me, but I remember protecting it well when I removed it in case I wanted to sell the rifle later, but I have spent a lot of time on my S400 re-engineering the hammer area and spinning-up a regulator for it, so I doubt I’ll ever part with it.
If it is a right-handed stock it would only be the cheek rest, so if your handy with wood (or know someone who is?) it would not be difficult to make it left handed and make a nice job of it or take the opportunity to fit an adjustable cheek rest, just a thought.
I hope this may be useful to you, please let me know.
Pete.

Hi. Thanks for the reply i wasnt expecting one so soon. Anyroad, yes im looking for a left handed or ambidextrous only. I have been offered a few right handers but my rifle is left hand cocking and cheek, asi m left handed, but i dont want to put studs in this one for a bipod as its a lovely walnut, so im looking for another one.

I am So Very Sorry, I could not remember where we were chatting about the stock, the stock I have is a right handed job, but I would think it could be reworked if your handy with wood? I am not but I would have a go at it, I do not think it would take a lot to rework it. I'm not sure if its a walnut stock or a nicely finished beach stock, it has a nice cap on the pistol grip, it looks like a rose wood cap, but I'm not a wood man, I do metal.
I have taken a load of pictures but when I tried to attach them it said the photo was too big, and I'm not sure how to reduce them in size manually.
Anyway, sorry for the late reply. if it helps at all, please feel free to get in touch, if not I hope you find what your looking for soon.
