HFT 500 stripper

Hello all,

I have a second hand HFT 500. When I was cleaning it I removed the stripper. The cone inside fell out very easily. I have looked and an original replacement part is quite expensive. Apart from the standard Rowan engineering stripper is there another popular replacement part out there?
Thanks in advance.

Surprised at that but then again I've just sent a message about loose fittings rattling about in the air tube of my HFT500  out of guarantee of course! bought March'17.

Why has it fell out. Is it a push fit?

Just wondering if the inner cone is really necessary. Altho it shouldnt break, isnt the stripper more of an aesthetic piece than functional. What would be the effect of putting it back on sans core - would it look the same - how much louder, if any would the gun sound?

The cone is supposed to divert exhausting air from the muzzle, when the pellet exits, harmlessly out of the way to avoid putting a wobble on the trajectory.
Whether its really beneficial is the argument.
I guess artillery barrels seem to think so.

Without the cone it's just a fancy nob end.

I managed to buy a secondhand stripper from another member. I doubt it is just there for aesthetics but I do know with it on it's accurate. So I never felt the inclination to try it without. But I do like a polished cone. But then I sold the gun before I had a chance to polish it. Back to the S200 without a stripper.
