Tx woes

Thu May 09, 2019 7:26 pm

Right so I've now fitted a longer latch rod to same length as mk2 . All fitted now here comes next problem. Gun cocks , pull trigger and doesn't go off just clicks. Taken Spring out cock gun, trigger engages and release, put spring back in and same as above. What hell am I missing. The latch rod now measures 44 mil from back of piston to end of latch rod. Oh and it's mk3 tx I'm working on

All that comes to mind is the latch rod not centered or the profile on the tip is off a bit. Really only guessing, but if you know someone with a lathe, they could spin the piston and check if the rod tip is off centered.

Mine did the same when I fitted a longer latch rod, it turned out that the new rod had a slightly different profile when compared to the original, as I don't have a lathe I just put the latch rod in my cordless drill and used wet n dry till the profiles matched, fired ok after that.
