In need of desperate help. I recently sent my tx200hc off to local gun shop to be short stroked. Its a mk3. I asked for a longer piston rod and its came back fitted with a tbt kit, kicking like a mule, running at 11.8 already after only 100 hundred pellets through it and I'm totally at my end. I expected a smooth gun around 11.1. I've got a cannon that groups like a shotgun with as express. Is there anyone ,reliable that will tune my rifle, with a longer latch rod,and do it properly this time. Sorry for the moan and thanks for allowing me to the group . les

Return it. You asked for a longer latch rod, not a nose extension. I have had a reduced comp tube dia conversion. Mine is 21mm dia and very happy with the results. I am not a fan of the nose extension route as the extra preload on the spring gives a firing cycle which in my opinion is harsh. I much prefer the least amount of spring to produce the goods route.

Like Gary, both my HC's (a .177 & a .22) have 22mm conversions, and my .177 TX200 has 21mm conversion. In my opinion they are lovely to shoot and that's all that matter to me.

Out of the box the .22 HC was sweetest to shoot, followed by the full length .177. My .177 HC was a nightmare. Harsh, snappy, twangy and kicked like a mule. Removed the power washer, as it was nudging the limit, it climbed to the limit again, so I removed the preload too. Power was still too high, so I decided to have it tuned. Best thing I ever did.
