My hunting partner in Kansas, USA, styas his TX200 is becoming hard to cock. I asked him to ask the professionals here. I too have a TX200 and have shot 12-15,000 rounds through it with nary a burp, err, except that time when the cockingn handle came loose and I touched one off without knowing. A real eye-opener. So, if you shooters have any suggestions on why the my paertner’s TX is sbecoming hard to cock, please chime in...

Apart from the force needed are there any other symptoms? Any grinding noises when cocking? Any power loss or change in noise when firing?

The TX200 is so simple to dismantle it's probably best to take the trigger assembly off and check the spring, piston and trigger unit.

That is exactly what I told him to do. Also he saw online where the front stock mounting bracket screw might need to be seated further. He is going to try that...

Well...He followed my advice.
He took the stock off and had a goodlook over.
Over thing looked fine so he put it back together taking special care to tighten the screws correctly.
VOILA.
Shoots fine and the hard cocking has disappeared.. :D
