Hi folks is there anyone out there who knows if a shirtless piston can be put into an AA tx200 hc ? If so any ideas on who or where I could get this done? Cheers Phil

Check out `shooting at dawn` on youtube. He has one I think. He makes very interesting videos about his tuned rifles.

Hi Gary what I meant to say was can you put a skirt less piston into a .22 tx200 hc? Reason for enquiry is the gun has become very snappy with an unruly recoil after I put the original spring guide and top hat back in after my tbt kit I put in snaped. I saw the shooting at dawn video on YouTube and liked what I saw and fancy getting this MOD done if I could. Any info you can give would be great. Phil

Yes you can put a skirt less piston in if that is the route you want to take. Was the video of a Tony Leach kit? He can be found on facebook, he has a group called reduced volume.

I do know other tuners, but I do not know there workload at moment. they all have there own ideas. I don't know Tony Leach or his contact details, sure if you posted on forums, or even message the person who posted the youtube video his contact details. before you go down the road of retuning, I would advise you to ask yourself, what is it about the state of tune you dislike. also what you would like to achieve. what you and I want out of a rifle could be totally different, but each of us is correct. watching a video is all well and good, but when the guy has paid a considerable sum of money, he has already convinced himself that this is a great improvement. Your reply to my first question stated that the rifle had a sharp recoil. is there something wrong? after putting a delrin guide in, it won't make a dramatic improvement, and given that the std TX has a quite long stroke, the recoil is long and lazy rather than sharp.

Hi Gary I did have tbt drop innit unit it was OK but nothing special then the guide snaped so had to put in the original hat and guide now very snappy massive recoil ND lots of twang. The results I saw with the shirtless 22mm piston convertion on shootingatdawns video looked just what I'm after and wanted to know where I could get it done.
