I bet your glad it was only grease they messed up with. I remember a chap that opened his up and it was packed with wood and tape

All my TX's wind up looking over lubed. That 70% moly lube just gives everything a messy look after a few thousand shots. I also never bother cleaning a gun out, unless it seems to have gotten some grit in it. I just replace the spring and piston seal, when needed, and let the old lube stay put. Mind you, I shoot FT and I shoot 10-20,000 pellets a year so I open up my guns very regularly.
