My latest TX build

Thu Jul 28, 2016 8:07 pm

I needed an FT stock, to try to evaluate my 22mm tx conversion so I can compare it with my 24mm target gun, the stock started life as a cs1000 for a prosport , a friend had converted it for a tx ,and then sold his TX so I got it in primer, I made a hamster and the adjustable kit for it and got it painted.
The action has my own 22mm comp tube made up from bits of hydraulic tube, and my own full ally piston with an aussie red hw 45 seal, a titan no 11, spring, and 87mm stroke, piston is around 160 grm, trans port 3.2, its bouncing a little , but not bothered as it's doing 11.2 ft lb with 7.9 gr which is how I want it , very fast , softish cycle, and easy to cock. made a bit of a mistake when starting to set it up and shortened the spring too much, so it has a bit of pre load to make up the length, so I have gone to great lengths to create spring room then wasted it !, so I think there will be some Improvements to come when I get a new spring, will shoot it as it is for a while as it feels very nice .
The colour wont be to everyones taste I know :D

I rather think that the colour is great Nick, at meets people can now easily navigate and bypass all the wannabee tunes and get straight to hands on with the F1 stuff from your good self!
Just a shame that Quantum Hot Sauce is not the optimal lube or you could match the lube colour to the stock
