Hi
I have a problem with my front stock screws touching my cocking lever,
I've just bought this rifle second hand so i don't know if the last owner has tighten them to much or fitted the wrong ones?
I would say they are 3mm too long
This is what was fitted black FKE 10.9 and 16mm long, i think they are m5
I was thinking of replaceing them with stainless steel A4
Anyone know the proper length of the stock screws
Cheers for any help
Mic

Hi,
I have the same rifle as you and the screws are much shorter than 16mm, don't know the size as not at home.

Cheers Gaz
I'm just guessing but by looking at mine i think they should be around 12mm or 13mm long
I have some m5 14mm stainless steel countersunk A4 ones on the way
5 for £1.30
I'll file to fit them
Thanks
Mic

Just a update
I fitted the14mm stainless steel countersunk A4 today
And they fit perfectly no need to cut them,
The Tx200hc cocks perfectly now
As the head on the stainless steel is about 1mm deeper that then ones originally fitted
Ebxy number: 191054024221
£1.30 free postage for 5
Cheers

Back around 2000 this was a problem with some of the TX's. After the front screws were snugged up a few times they would compress the wood and hit the cocking arm. Some guns wouldn't cock and my gun was one of them. I just got a Dremel tool and cut off a little bit of screw.

Cheers Fpoole for the information and help
Mine is a mk 3 hc from around 2009
Best way to check; is flip tx200 on its back and look at the alloy bracket,
If you see screw threads like mine (3mm) they are to long
