Tx 200 HC accuracy

Sat Dec 12, 2015 11:32 am

I've given this test several times and have found my TX 200 HC
is more accurate with a silencer on ??? can't explain why but it
just is using JSB's out to 30 yrds.

Sometimes it works the other way round so you're lucky.
It MIGHT be to do with the extra weight at the end of the barrel negating a little bit of barrel flip.

Tried an AA moderator on my TX200 HC some years ago to appease the neighbors. £40 down the tubes if you ask me. Looked really pants and affected the already superb accuracy. Admittedly, it did quieten it down a bit, but at what cost!

Hi guys,

I have used the silencer from my S510 and from my HW95 on my TX200HC and I regularly use it without a silencer, but haven't noticed any difference in accuracy. However, I will be performing a little test on it the next time I go to the range tho.

Admittedly, it was a few years ago that I tried the AA moderator, but from what I recall, it was the POI rather than overall accuracy that was affected.

I too have noticed no real difference in accuracy with the silencer/moderator fitted, but the Tx200hc is still new to me,

Pros and cons for me are.
I do like the extra weight on the front :)

The down size is it's very long rifle

Plus side at least we can fit one lol :D

And the wife loves it as it's quieter

Never, had any problems with accuracy on my two tx200hc's with the HW, moderator on... it do's indeed muffle the muzzle crack.
I also find it makes the txhc smoother too shoot with the HW,moderator on... :D the accuracy is superb.

Each to there own I guess, although some say it defeats the logic of the rifle been a carbine... Myself I love the option.
