Polishing intenals
Polishing intenals
I was thinking of polishing the internals in my prosport. Firstly is it worth it and secondly what bits need doing? I have an idea but need to be sure.

Re: Polishing intenals
I think the sears of the trigger mechanism is what needs a polish,
and possibly the piston.
and possibly the piston.
Re: Polishing intenals
No benefit in doing the piston at all and don't polish the inside of the compression tube, only if the trigger feels "gritty" then just the sears but, be very careful not to round any edges.
With the internals removed you can use some fine wet and dry inside the action if you feel any burrs (e.g. around the cocking slot, you may see tiny micro cuts across the surface of the rear piston guide)
Generally speaking the time is better spent practising
