It appears to me that there is a screw protruding into the chamber of my TX200.
It looks like the purpose is to prevent the barrel nut from loosening.
I do not see this screw on the parts list.
I have tried to remove the screw with a dental pick, thinking it might be a pellet.
The threads, on whatever it is, are clearly visible.
I never shot Beeman Silver Jets in the TX and the pellets I shoot donot have multiple ribs.
The rifle is shooting superbly.
Thanks for your help.
Grub Screw in the TX200 Chamber
Re: Grub Screw in the TX200 Chamber
It's the tip of the screw that holds the front stock bracket to the receiver. With the stock off, it's the little aluminum piece that the forward 2 stock screws go into. It can loosen over time and cause accuracy to fall off pretty badly. I always remove it, clean the threads and the hole, and add some blue Loctite to the threads and snug up tight. This keeps it from loosening and gives you one less thing to worry about.

Mr. Poole...You are 100% correct.
I discovered that very same thing not five minutes ago.
Thanks for your reply and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Re: Grub Screw in the TX200 Chamber
As a proud owner of a TX200 HC .177 this was new to me and I'll take care next time when detaching the stock.
Thanks to TPoole for his advice.
I checked my technical documentation.
The manual shows this screw as item 13 / part no. TX416 "M5x10 SOC C/SUNK".
If you need a spare in GB look here (generally I'm wondering about the prices charged so differently
