do modern springers have `polished` cylinders?
back in my day (20 years ago) one of the mod`s we carried out on our springers was to mirror polish the cylinder, are modern cylinder tubes polished from the factory? I ask `coz it made one hell of a difference to our guns cocking action (muuuch smoother) & along with `feathering` the piston washer edge, made a great difference to the power output (but shortened the washers useable life considerably!), and, well, I`ve never seen it mentioned on here before, just thought I`d ask?

Years ago they honed and polished the tube as they were hit and miss tolerances . Im sure they are a lot better now. Even with the decent tolerances as standard ,i dont think it gets a polish
