TX200HC shorter spring

Evening all

I must be getting old and tired but my TX200HC seems to leave my arm aching much quicker than it used to. Would I be correct that a shorter spring would reduce cocking effort? I realise it would also affect power but I only use it for informal target shooting upvtovaround 25yds.
Any advice on easing up the cocking cycling much appreciated, suppliers of springs etc or other things to try.

yes, but there is only so much you could reduce it's length by. if shortened too much there would be zero preload, and the spring assembly would float around in the receiver. you may have several preload washers (trigger end) try removing a couple first. power will be reduced.
