Hi,
I have an S400 carbine in .22 that’s putting out around 10.4 ft/ib through the sweet spot where it used to make 11.4. The guns nearly 10 years old and I’m ashamed to say it’s never had a proper service other than cleaning it.
Could this just be a matter of replacing old seals and cleaning up the moving parts etc?
Would try to service it myself but am concerned about removing the anti tamper disks so wanted to ask some advice before I splash out on a gunsmith.
Thanks,
George
10 year old S400 low on power, will a service help restore this?

a service will do it no harm. will it do what you want? now that's up for debate. what i would advocate though, is the removal of the A/T so that you can make sure that you stay on the correct side of the legal aspect. as stated in the legislation YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE. With A/T you can't adjust, and if it does stray over that statement lays the blame at your door.
