ProSport Trigger Problem: First Stage

Thu Sep 17, 2020 6:38 pm

Hello all.

I am new to airguns to I'll thank you in advance for the learning experience. How do I understand this trigger problem on my ProSPort. I bought it new in summer of 2020 in the USA.

Uncocked, the first stage of trigger pull (initial take up?) has soft but noticeable spring tension to it. The wall is defined. After the wall, the trigger tension is more taut.

Cocked and loaded, but safety still on, the trigger feel is just as I stated for uncocked.

The problem: When I release the safety, the feel of the first stage initially has recoil,. Upon further squeeze then it perceptibly pushes past some point and I feel the springiness disengages. Then the trigger is flabby with no resistance, no recoil back to the initial position if I remove pressure. If I continue with pressure then there is the wall. Firing is normal after the wall.

If I take my finger of the trigger with the safety off, I really would like the trigger to go back to its initial position. Freaks me out.
