Hi all, brought a used but mint condition galahad, having issues with cocking the rifle, the cocking lever works as it should but doesn't seem to cycle the hammer, never stripped one of these rifles, not even a video on YouTube, any ideas? heard of this before?

When you use the lever to try to cock, does it feel like the hammer is being pulled back i.e. Under spring pressure,
Basically, sounds like trigger might need adjusting, sear not catching hammer

Hi, thanks for the reply, sounds about right, my local RFD has made adjustments but it done it again after a few shoots, i'll read up on the trigger adjustment and try again. Sounds like the previous owner had it set on a hair trigger.

Any ideas what Air Arms charge for a service?

I doubt that they will be cheap, but as it sounds like trigger adjustment, the manual tells you how to do it.
Just put in airarms.com and manuals will come up, I had a quick look today, doesn't look to bad to adjust
