I’m using a 3mm foresight and a 1.1mm
Eye piece.
Looking at the variable one, do you tend to change them indoors much.

The front size depends on the target and how good you are. With 10m NSRA targets I started on 4.2 and worked down to 3.8 perspex. Top shooters will go smaller. You want it big enough to keep the spot from wobbling out the hole but small enough so you can centre it accurately.

Eyepiece of 1.1 is standard but as my eye problem got worse I went up to 2.5 to avoid the "cobwebs" but then I swapped eyes and It doesnt matter much and its just a matter of comfort. Now use left eye with

Sights including one for 10m and one for 6yd cost as much as the S400

If that's the recoil-less opposing piston one it's our favourite club rifle (Ours is branded "Original" made in West Germany) and as accurate as any.

All of my 10 meter match rifles are Walther LG300XT or LG400 variants and have their own branded Centra front sights and Walther rear diopters. I have both the 18mm and 22mm Centra front sight tunnels and prefer to use Centra High End glass inserts for total clarity.

I have been shooting with target rifles since the early '70's and have found a larger front element of at least 4.4mm to be preferable for accurate target acquisition. The larger sized front element prevents refracted light being what you see rather than the actual white ring that surrounds the black

The only item to actually focus on is the front sight element (having aligned all the concentric circles) and the larger front aperture opening also helps to avoid any distortion that may creep in towards the end of the session as can happen at the end of a full ISU series or an evenings solid shooting on the RMTC 10 metres club range.

I also use adjustable iris's on all of my match rifle's, but to be honest I seldom find a need to use any size other than the standard 1.1mm when shooting indoors - even when we have a play with bell targets and MPL shooting with springers and SSP rifles at 6 yards.

The Walther dioptre sights are really good, but I also use a Centra Spy on my Carbontec and a Gehmann Compact 590 on my ProTouch and I can recommend this excellent CNC machined sight as an upgrade to the basic budget types used on the AA and other basic match rifles as being "as good as anything" and at the bargain price of £150 it is a worthwhile and affordable upgrade.

Yes 3mm foresight seems small unless using 10m cards at 25m

My Centra Pro57 and Your Gehmann Compact share the same Diagonal spring loaded design concept, and price bracket . If you go into that entry level you can get a sight set for less than The price of an S400! Same can't always be said for some Anschutz sets.

If you just want a go then get an Air Arms set for £45 all-in but they are chinese plastic and monkey metal and non standard dioptre thread.
