Just changed the indexing post on my ultimate sporter from the bent metal spring steel one to the new hooked brass one with a spring. Oh what a great mod that is, no missed turns on the magazine and central every time.
Should of done it ages ago

I have the new sort now as I have been using a single shot adapter. I must say that the old sort rarely gave me issues

The new type post is a vast improvement over the old style.

Positioning of the magazine is perfect every time with the upgraded post. I have 2 mags for the US. One is well used the other is new. The old one worked with the old post but new one didn’t. I had previously bent the steel spring and had to reshape it hence the issues with the new one. Upgrade goes in with a dab of grease and needs no adjustment. Just like it should be. No probs catching on the mag either.

I replaced mine too. I bent the old spring chewing up a 3D printed mag. :o
I bent the spring back and got a free replacement (modified) mag . But the advance wasn't 100% reliable and was scratching the AA alloy mags. No problems with the new post. And I've decided not to use the 3D printed mag!

Two of the new ones just came through the letterbox, should I wait until the old ones pack up (9 years on my S510) or stick'em in now :)
