Hello again.

I have an S510 .177. When filling it from the divers tank the rifle makes a sort of clicking noise, as if something is opening and closing. The divers tank pressure is only a few bars above where I want to fill the gun to. The tank being currently at about 180 bar and I want to fill the rifle to 175 bar. When using a Hills pump the rifle fills fine. No strange noises. The rifle also works fine no leaks and very consistent output.

I have used the same divers tank to fill my other S510 in .22 and it fills fine up to 170 bar. No clicking sound.

Fill valve can make all sorts of noises including a moaning noise. You should see the gauge on the bottle run rapidly up to the residual gun pressure, valve cracks open, then slowly fills with all sorts of noises as the valve opens and shuts. You would not notice it with the short bursts from a pump.

Thanks for the feedback. Am I right in thinking that once the divers tank is filled back to its 300 bar the ticking noise from the gun when it being filled should go away again. The ticking has only recently come about since my divers tank pressure has become just above the fill pressure of where I wanted to take the gun to. I have S510 in. 22 and this does has not started ticking when the tank pressure went to around the 180 bar. Again only filling the .22 to 170 bar max. I take it the ticking is just the different nuances between the guns.

Too many factors to predict how high pressure air will behave. Fill the tank and let us know!
