S410 TDR AT Pin

Hi all, I'm just trying to remove the AT from my s410 TDR, its a little low on power and not feeling at its best, my intention is to clean up the hammer etc - I wont be turning any magic screws to try and get more power!

The first AT plug came out easily as per: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5nhiA6bBVs

However, the second 'pin' type AT is proving more difficult. In the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtdbwm25n7g&t=111s) the chap mentions a small gap behind the pin. My gun doesn't have a gap so I can't see way to get any purchase to force it out. Has anyone got this pin out another way?

Also, do I have to remove any more AT before I can get to the parts I need?

To be honest, I have only ever done two of the TDR A/T pins, and have pushed them out as the 2nd video says with no problem, just keep persevering, sorry if that's not a lot of help. Rog

Is there not a gap at the side of the pin? He is putting a thin torx bit to grip the pin by friction alongside it.
As the housing is alloy have you tried a powerful neodymium magnet? Long shot though! AA must have a way to get it out.

If you polish the hammer rail and you get 12.1 ft lbs you WILL have to twiddle the magic screw so be prepared to remove the one he promised in part 3 and never filmed.
I have taken down my how-to video as most viewer comments were about “tuning” and increasing power. I may re-edit it and put it back.

Thanks gents, I have been trying on and off for a couple of days now and I’m just scratching up the pin and not getting any movement. May contact local gunsmiths to see if they can give me a hand. Would love to know how AA do it.

TMP, that’s a good point, would you be able to send me your video or a link if you decide to reupload it? That would be a great help!

In a nutshell you need to file off the pip, centre punch and drill a 2mm hole in the middle, 2mm deep, using a cobolt drill bit. Tap in a sawn-off 2mm allen key shank then unscrew. It isn't tight but it is very hard stainless.

I did it the tenmetrepeter way apart from using a torq key instead of a hex key.
The anti tamper screw is m3x6, I replaced mine with a m3x6mm round headed m3x6 hex screw.

I also put lots of layers of masking tape all round it in case of skids!

I used a Philips screwdriver. Put into the hole just touching the anti tamper pin. Then press into the pin and backwards at the same time. It only moves slowly. Once you get a few mm out the back grab with bull nose pliers and twist and pull. Mine took 2 minutes literally
