rodger5 are you sure you know what your onabout mate? When the silencer is unscrewed the barrel pokes out of the shroud on the s510 tdr and the ultimate sporter. you must think the tdr silencer screws in the shroud infront of the barrel...... its sits over it. Its different to the s510 carbine and thats why im talking about putting tdr shroud parts on my carbine, hence thread s510 tdr.
Both the end of the ultimate sporter and the tdr barrels sit well inside they silencers approx 20mm, so i dont know how pellets could be clipping tonyc? I think tonyc you mean the standard s510 carbine with the grey baffles inside the end part of the shroud.
grub screw (ultimate sporter) and threaded (tdr) same length shroud same length barrels (S401G-BO) 2 different fittings. Ask yourselfs which would be best? The only reason I can think of is why air arms do this is cost. Saving money on the inserts KS134 and KS133. I totally agree the standard s510 carbine with the baffles which uses silencer S710-M-UNF- and the exact same barrel as tdr and ultimate (S401G-BO which btw the BO is because they are slightly brown and not blacked) it as approximately 80mm gap from crown to muzzle and is a absolute ridiculous design, thats why im making mine into a proper carbine, shorter cylinder 300mm

Tdr shroud KS600HC-SL
Tdr silencer S710-KS2-177
Tdr insert ks133
Tdr end piece ks134
Any positive thoughts?

Nor do I. But I only have the US with the grub screw version and I don't make a habit of bashing the silencer or barrel. ;)
