S510 tdr
Re: S510 tdr
If you look at the specs on the AA website I think you'll find the answer... I'm fairly sure that's where I found the answer when looking for the same info on the S410.
Re: S510 tdr
It only gives you the overall gun length buddy.

Re: S510 tdr
It's 300mm or 30cm, iv just bought one. im going to make my 2017 s510 carbine into a proper carbine without the ridiculous 80mm gap from crown to muzzle. It will make the gun look a lot shorter as well, barrel still same lenght though......S401G-BO
TDR parts on the way thanks Julian...

The ultimate sporter moderator is a grub screw.......WTF, cant understand why they dont use the same system as the TDR, threaded? Doesn't make any sense.

Re: S510 tdr
the mod on the ultimate sporter fits on the barrel, hence the grub screw, the mod on the S510 screws into the shroud, and I prefer it to go on the barrel, don't see the point of a shroud that does nothingJohn814ce wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 10:03 pm300mm or 30cm iv just bought one. im going to make my 2017 s510 carbine a proper carbine without the ridiculous 80mm gap from crown to muzzle. Re: S510 tdr
And so does the tdr! Also If you have ever owned an s410 you'll know why its better having the shroud, slightest knock and the barrel looks like a banana. Can be even worse on full length s410 classic, so to say the shroud does nothing is totally wrong mate totally!

Re: S510 tdr
I tend to look where I'm going when out with my S410, but I was actually referring to the noise output, and I don't see undoing a couple of grub screws to realign a barrel much of a problem, and if your hitting yours hard enough to bend yours like a banana, try being a bit more careful mate

Re: S510 tdr
Ye mate i always go out banging my gun against a tree on purpose before my shoot? In fact i use it as a cricket bat sometimes! And what do you mean the ultimate sporter doesn't give you the option to screw on a end cap on the shroud when the silencer is removed so i dont see your point mate, if anything that would be even noisier. The TDR shroud and screw in silencer is a better option and more presice than the grub screw seen as you haven't got the option anyway on the ultimate sporter. Eventually you just end up with a indent in the end of the barrel were the grub screw will ware into it. No i dont own a s410 anymore and i agree its not a big deal to set the barrel straight again by undoing the 2 grub screws, but the shroud gives you more protection, fact.

Re: S510 tdr
It's a nice sunny day, so I don't mind answering you, it won't matter if there's a shroud on it or not, if you smack the end of your mod into a tree, it will still knock it out of alignment, another fact to add to yours, mate. Am done with this now, find someone else to play withJohn814ce wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 10:19 amYe mate i always go out banging my gun on purpose before my shoot? Re: S510 tdr
I believe the shroud screw-in was dropped for the Ultimate Sporter due to problems with pellets clipping the silencer caused by owners knocking the mod on earlier 510s. This would be less of a risk with the old moderator but the Q-tec with its calibre-specific baffles needs only a slight misalignment. I never liked the idea of a mod attached to the shroud.
