Will a barrel from a mk3 s200 fit a mk1?

Yes, straight swap. How do I know?
Because I purchased one (mk3 barrel) to fit my mk1.
Only difference is the muzzle end is not turned down so the mk1 slip on silencer / moderator will not fit the new barrel.

Hi,
If you decide to go with the new Mk3 barrel it might be wiser to go with a screw on Moderator mod using a 1/2" unf thread on the muzzle

BUT be aware that NOT all the bores are actually concentric with the outside diameter of the barrel so that the thread under those circumastances would put the moderrator off line with the pellet flight from the muzzle! !!!

Just make sure the machinist takes the centre of the actual bore and trues the barrel outer diameter to make it concentric then machines the threading.!

Do NOT ask how I know this ! :oops: :evil:

Thanks guys. I have briefly used a slip on adapter with 2 grub screws to hold it in place.
The grub screws can work loose which I assume results in the moderator going slightly off line and affecting the consistency.
Last couple of days I've been to the range early morning and pellet testing with the mod off.
Long story but I fitted a reg and have been messing about trying to get it set up correctly.

Pete2,
ball park figures for setting the reg :-
.177 = 100 -110bar
.22 = 110 -120bar

S200 reg testers are available pretty cheap from Robert Lane designs on Ebay or direct from Robert himself
