SM100 that needs refurbishing, where do I get spares?

Mon Aug 27, 2018 4:48 pm

Hi
I have two SM100 PCP's from the early 1990's that have been in my dads gun cabinet (unused) for nearly 20 years. Unsurprisingly neither hold a charge as some of the seals must have perished. Is it possible to buy seal kits for these guns, or is there anyone in the UK still servicing these old guns?
I am mechanically minded, so wanted to know if a full seal replacement is something I can do, or do I need specialist tools?
Thanks
Dave (Dorset)

Hi Dave,
I am very Sorry to answer your message about your CM-100's so late, did you get anywhere trying to get your SM-100's up and running again? i have a TM-100 with the Olympic trigger, regulator and a rather nice target stock, other than that it's almost the same as the CM-100 but the target version, i looked around myself for seal kits etc but with no luck, i have yet to find the time to attack it as it really needs a full restoration but amazingly mine is still holding air well! i am hoping to get at it very soon (the next week or so with luck), when they are working these rifles are Superb! and well worth getting sorted, apart from the bolt seal which looks a little special i would imagine that most if not all the other seals are a regular 'off-the-shelf' sizes but i suspect they are imperial and not metric, i have metric set's and have bought in an imperial set for this job, mine also has an original early Air Arms regulator, but the reg has a design fault which makes it very sensitive to ambient temperature so i am planning to spin up one of my own designs and fit that.
I contacted Air Arms about technical help etc, they were most interested in the fact that i had one, but they told me they have nothing on them and none of their current employees have ever worked on one, so we are on our own, but if it helps you i am happy to share any knowledge i gain.
You may of course have started and finished your rifle's by now in which case i have missed the boat, if you have finished them i hope your happy with the end results.
Again, my apologies for arriving late to this string.

Cheer's, Pete.
