Air Arms S200 Firing Pot

Can anyone advise on this topic. In cleaning my air reservoir I forgot to reinstall the firing pot or 'Stove pipe regulator' as some call it. I charged the cylinder and is holding pressure at 190 Bar. Can I dry fire without the pot to empty cylinder and refit pot? Simply concerned about full 190 Bar hitting the valve each time.
in the past some pcp's never had these flow restrictor 'regulators' . Any comments appreciated.

What type of filler have you got. The older sort can have a five pence piece inserted into the cap and screwed in until the air comes out on a steady flow

You could also loosen the fill valve a little

Thanks for replies. Never understood why they stopped selling those degassing tools in UK. Fill valve is an altaros gauge/manometer. Hammer strike pin does not protrude at all. Looks like loosening the gauge/fill assy a fraction is the only route open. Don't like messing with HPA without the proper tools, used to work in that field and experienced mishaps first hand to be wary enough.

Not sure if you understand the pot doesn't reduce the maximum pressure on the valve but restricts the rate of air flow. However, without the pot, the valve will snap shut more quickly (=more impact energy) and I guess that's the concern.

If the marble doesn't work, this may (or may not) be helpful!
My S400 pot fell off - the glued on section that is - a few shots after a refill. Discussed this with AA then emptied by firing as normal - no after effects. Did I read there was a problem with early S200 valves extruding? I'd check with AA first.

I take it there is no valve spring either?
