Hft500 transfer port screw

I removed the small blanking screw.to adjust the transfer port but when i put the allen key in i felt no slot for it to go into & the key just kinda wiggled about & i expected to feel some resistance or bite when turning. Is it possible the actual transfer screw isn't there or is that not possible ? Any help/ideas would be much appreciated.

Not sure if this will help as I don't have a HFT 500. In an S400 you need a 1.5mm allen key.
