S410 power loss

After renewing striker striker rod striker spring and seals my power went past the 12ft/lb but turned down to 11.5 but not even 40 pellets later its gone down to just over 10 csn anyone suggest anything else to sort ie firing valve and spring change maybe as i seam to be throwing more money in to it
Its .177 2005 model with screw on side

I would change the firing valve, it would be a shame to not complete the job, and being 12years old, it probably needs it. Rog

Ok i will throw a few more pounds into it but reading about these air arms they dont seam very reliable i should of kept my rapid 17 mk2 had no problems

You obviously bought it second hand, I have to say they don't normally give any serious problems, and if they do, they are pretty easy to fix, I had an S400 that was 14 years old, I only sold it on because I wanted an S410, it was very accurate, and was used daily for pest control, persevere with it, you might just grow to love it, trust me. I also had a 400 in 2002 bought it off j s ramsbottom £300 brand new before that new law came into force it was awesome then i traded it for a new rapid 17 which was the dogs 11.54 ft/lb only draw back was it was heavy ha anyway who is the best to buy a firing valve off i always use chambers but have seen others on other sites saying they use better metal etc any ideas rog

Absolutley sick of this S410 now had 3 breech seals in and still im getting blowback ive looked at the rod that pushes the pellet in and it looks worn astho no chrome left like someone has tried to rub it thats the only thing i can think of that is making this gun low on power but i dont want to put any more money into it coz the bolt is pretty dear
Has anyone any idea if this cud be the problem or shud i get oversize seals ???
