Hi all,

Anyone know if these exist, and if so, where from and how much?

My barrel is a bit of (a lot of) a dog, but the gun shoots fine.

Thanks for your help everyone

I bought this tube from Ebay for my MPR. 10 quid for 500mm - fortunately 14mm ID x16mm OD was a standard size. Your S400 may be 12mm? They are used to make drones and model 'copters. Took 3 weeks to come from China! The tube is cut to fit either side of the barrel band. Also had to file the last 2 inches into a wedge to fit between barrel and receiver body. 12mm S400 barrel may not need it??

Just search eBay for 'carbon tube' and you will find loads. I've used Katana Plastics and also easycomposites.co.uk before: a bit more than a tenner, but they both dispatch same working day and I'm impatient ;)

Ok i'll take a look. How are these attached to the barrel by the way?

Cheers

Ok cheers. What stops them moving around, or making noises whilst moving/stalking/shooting?

In a word, grease.

I give the barrel a good coating of lithium grease and slide the tube on. If you cut the tube accurately to length, the barrel band and moderator/stripper hold everything tight. The grease also stops moisture getting trapped under the tube, and is, in my view, pretty well essential. I've done this to five guns now, with no problems over three years.

Thanks guys for the idea - I went ahead and got a length of carbon fiber tubing - it was only £11 incl delivery and arrived after 2 days of ordering off of Ebay.

Looks bloody brilliant, with other folks at my local HFT wondering what type of S400 it is!
