Cheers to Rog pointing me in the direction of the correct size I bough a number of O rings around the 12 to 12.5 ID size

The first one I tried was 12.5 * 1.5 and it worked brilliantly

You probably in fact very more than likely split the o rings on the threads when pushing/forcing the barrel support out.

Or quite possibly, when it was pushed/forced in 8-)

Of course, but you would expect aa to have some sort of thin sleeve or something like that to aid it in and we'd hope that aa aren't just forcing them in. Btw it is more easily put in from the block end of the shroud than the baffle end. Its because of the lip inside the baffle end after the threads it makes it harder to keep the o rings in place. Are do what iv done and needle file the slots slightly wider on the aluminium support were the o rings sit and when the o rings are getting squashed into the tube it gives you a bit more to work with. But i agree with you post the barrel should be longer are similar to the ultimate sporter.
