Can anyone tell me if the tdr air tube is the same size or smaller than the carbine rifle.

Hi,
I believe that early ones were short and later ones had the carbine cylinder. If you mean diameter they are the same as any S4**/S5** series. Hopefully someone will correct me if that's incorrect.

Hi,
I had my TDR original short tube swapped for a carbine tube by Ben Taylor, before he retired. My only issue was the fitting of my moderator adaptor but Ben made the necessary adjustment.
