Hi Team,
My son's EV2 mk 4 ran low on air last night and dumped it all, no problem I thought, cock the gun and refill. Sadly no, now it gets to 150 bar and starts leaking from the seal (RN234) at the fill end of the cylinder. Any tips on how to get the fill adapter assy off? It looks as if you need a tool like a large circlip plier. Then I'll be on to Julian for the seal.

just bought one of these works great and very nicely engineered. both 400's i used it on the action end came loose first so with the cylinders removed
i put the tool in a vice so the cylinders were pointing straight up, gripped the cylinder with both hands and twisted and they both came off no probs.
i put the smallest amount of aqua gel silicone grease from best fittings on the seals only enough to put a sheen on the seal
wipe the smallest amount of grease on your finger and rub it off with your thumb till it feels like its gone then wipe the seal.
Cheers Russ
Re: EV2 mk4 cylinder seal
Thanks guys.
I was surprised it started to leak just because the air was dumped, did that on my old 410 and my FTP several times without an issue.

Re: EV2 mk4 cylinder seal
You sure it's the main plug and not the fill valve itself?, my 400 did exactly the same a few weeks ago, filled from empty and it leaked from the inlet valve. Stuck the end in a bowl of water to confirm exactly where the leak was.
Re: EV2 mk4 cylinder seal
Hi Bezzer, Yes I did the same with the old water trick (had lot's of bike punctures over the years) because I was very surprised the seal had gone. It is definitely leaking where the tube end screws into the cyclinder. Have no idea why that should suddenly go, it also stops leaking when the pressure gets down to 150 bar so still useable until I get the removal tool from Darrin and seals from Julian.
