Hi all,
I recently sold my springer for a PCP but I'm stuck on what stirrup pump to buy. Is a 4 stage pump worth paying the extra and is a 3 stage any good?
many thanks

Ramsbottom is doing 3ltr Dive bottle for £109 at the moment, I've had pumps before, unless they have a very good filter to help get rid of moisture, you can wind up with rusty cylinder internals. Rog

Deffo second what Rog says. What with prices what they are, go for a bottle.
Dry air from a dive bottle is better for a pcp, plus it only takes a moment to refill from a bottle but bloody ages with a pump.
I have a 4ltr 300 bottle which will top up my S400 over 20 times before the dive bottle needs a refill.
Thats when the bloody gun is not leaking like a bugger. Grrrrrr

Make sure the bottle comes with a non-diving airgun valve. They only need testing every 5 years instead of 2.
Couple of quid to refill every 3 months (12 months in my case) I reckon it works out cheaper than a pump but find out where the nearest dive shop is. See if they do 300 bar. If they only fill 232 bar you might want to go for 7 or even 11 litres.

As Peter says+ JSRamsbottom is £109 and is 300bar everything you need, they are dated 2015 so won't require retest until 2020 Another plus, there are loads of dive shops around where you live. Rog

Thanks for all the great advice, I was originally not in favor of getting a bottle as I've heard they're expensive and after a few charges you get less than 200 Bar but now I look more into it I don't see why I wouldn't get one. Only £3 for a full refill too.
