Is there such a thing as a silent S410.
If there is what is the best way to make my gun as quite as possible. Its an S410 in .22 fitted with a weihrach silencer but it still sounds quite loud, with quite a loud whoosh as the pellet leaves the gun when i shoot, also there seems to be a loud crack/snap from the breech area as well. It is so loud the neighbour next door heres the gun shooting - from about 20 mtres away.

First, polish the hammer rail, spring and rear guide bush. Next, push some shrink wrap tube as far as you can onto the spring coils, I managed to get mine wrapped on by one and a half coils, it's got to go onto the wire and not over the circumference. Then shrink it with a bit of heat, quick wave over a flame will do it. Then bung it back together and try it. I don't think it will ever be "Gaystate" quiet, but it's worth what you do get.

Put a piece of tissue paper over the breech area when you fire it to see if the seal is leaking. All of my rifles are pretty quiet at 20 metres away. My .177 classic especially so even close up.

I have never been able to shoot in the garden in a close-knit estate in summer unless I sat at the back of one outbuilding and shot a target in another with both doors half shut. That was with silencers. If I practice with my un-silenced 10m rifle in the garage I wait til they are out!

The targets usually make more noise than the gun, hence I used to shoot charity shop cuddly rabbits with target spots, which make no noise.

Many times with a 410 .177 I have shot at a rolled up carpet in the small hours. It has a Logun silencer and is very quite.
I would try another silencer and also check you power.
