low shot count with reg

Sat Nov 26, 2016 9:37 pm

Hi, after some help. Just had my 400 sent away to dave welham coz my shot count dropped from 80ish to 60ish when filling til 200bar but after the service its doing 53 before it drops off the reg!! I know something must be wrong. The reg pressure is showing 100bar so wondering if i should be filling more than 200bar on not? This is very frustrating & costly. Thanks

It sounds to me that you need to get back in touch with him, my BTAS reg is used at 210 bar but it is a .22 I have a Huma regd S200 and charge to 190 bar, and have just fitted an Altaros to an S510 and they have told me to only fill to 190 bar, sorry if none of this is much help, but as I say you need to get back to Dave. Hi,

I recently had a Dave Welham reg fitted to me S400 carbine, shot count has not really changed but the spread in fps is remarkable, sometimes it will pop 4 or 5 through my skan with no variation at all, 20 shot string will often show nothing more than 6 fps, and that can be anywhere from a full 200bar charge til it drops off at about 100bar. Maybe dropping a few shots is expected or of no significance?
