Possible small air leak try the balloon test one on filler other one on barrel over night use sellotape or elastic band to secure balloons also make sure your bolt is in firing position locked down
I had one last week up through the barrel quite a bit of air in balloon sorted now but I've a few other problems with my s400 well hope this post helps best regards Frank

Forgot to ask what caused the air to escape up the barrel mate?

You would have to take it apart and clean out where it seats, ie remove cylinder ( make sure cylinder is empty ) and unscrew firing valve holder, measure it first as you want to put it back exactly where it was. Rog

Hi Rog
Sorry mate been away. My post a few weeks ago covers all of my woes including air up the barrel the guys on here sorted me out can't thank them enough
PS the name of the post was "Firing Pot" it still currant on first page.
You are probably sorted by now well any way all the best From Frank p's watch out for little grub screw that holds firing pot in place it's easy to strip firing pot thread if you haven't fully undone it.
