OK - You should worry about sweet spot after you have sorted out the 'hot' status of your rifle. I am very tempted to help you by tuning and re-setting the rifle myself but if it is brand new as you say (and you have proof of purchase + receipt), there is no reason why any self-respecting RFD will not do the needful for you. That way, if anything else should go wrong in the next 12 months, you would still have an intact warranty.
You could face a stiff set of penalties ... perhaps worst of all losing the ability to keep rifles if your get checked while going hunting etc. If you only shoot targets in a club, even they will stop you so best get this fixed.
Let us know how you got on.

Oh ... and before you do anything, what pellets are these readings with? Any overstatement error in the pellet weight input into the formula can obviously make your rifle seem over the limit. You would be trying to fix something that probably isnt broken. :)

Hi the pellets I used are jsb exact diablo 8,44 gr.s9 should I take it back to the shop and tell them to sort it.also it's a pain coz it's hard to get good groupings with it coz it's very erratic most of the time.thanks

Yes, it is best to let the seller sort this out if you value the warranty. Reducing the power may also bring an improvement in consistency.

Oh and I appreciate your offer to help tune the rifle,I've seen many of your posts and you seem to know your stuff.id be quite happy for you to tune the rifle instead of the shop as you seem more knowledgeable than them ha.its just annoying that you by a new rifle and don't except it to be firing over the legal limit you know.

Check/replace batteries on chrono too. You can get erratic readings.

Hi,

Firstly here is the graph:-

I think your chrono is misreading as you almost have two curves on the one graph. Also some of the readings are nearly 100 fps apart which I find hard to believe. If it's a combro you are using to measure velocity try repositioning it slightly. I have seen the above effect on my own rifles with a combro especially with .177 which is more position sensitive than the larger .22

Like Mark112 says, you have 2 very nice curves in that graph.
Are they all shot from the same tin of pellets? It's like you have a mixture of light & heavy pellets.
