Tips for levelling scope cross hair
Anyone have any tips to get cross hair perfectly level
Re: Tips for levelling scope cross hair
small spirit level to get rifle "flat" placed flat of the scope rail then on the top turret .. generally if you take the cap off the thumbwheel is flat ..
Otherwise hang a plumb-bob line up (weight on end of string) .. level rifle with spirit level and line vertical crosshair up with string

Or level the rifle action as above and plumb the vertical cross hair against your house wall whilst shooting at a target to zero.
Do not try this if you live in a Barrett house.

Place a white A4 sheet of paper on the floor.
Align the butt of the rifle with one edge of the paper.
Set scope to minimum magnification.
Look down through the scope and align the cross hairs with the edge of the paper.
Oh and make sure the gun is not loaded for safeties sake.
Easy.

No, stand the rifle vertically on it's butt, with the butt in line with the end of the paper and look down the wrong end of the scope.
