Hi,
Did you change position of the chrono for each test. Try 25 shots with it positioned 1mm lower and one with it 1mm higher. You should know withinin 25 shots whether you are likely to get a good string as shots should really be within a few fps of previous values. You seem to have jumps of 80+ fps which would equate to probably an inch at a 30m target. If you are not getting that then those figures cannot be genuine. Your last graph is improved so I still believe it's a chrono error/misread (I have had exactly this with mine).

uptade.
just been out to zero the rifle at 30 yards because of all this fettling and those readings from the earler graths are defitnely right because even tho I zero it,some shots go 1/2 inch higher than zero and then some 1/2 inch lower than my zero and the rifle is locked in place so it cant be my moving ??its as if one shot is giving full 800 fps and then the next shot 730 fps in erratic order.enough is enough ill let you guys know what the shop says tomorrow, mabey he can put it over his chrono and see whats happening.cheers

Hi,
Whatever you did for the first 30 shots is heading the right way in terms of better reading of velocities as can be seen here (I still think it's a misreading issue):-
That said it looks like the higher readings are the true ones and it needs taming somewhat. It would most probably be worse with JSB heavies or similar as well
. Best get the dealer to sort it.

Re: advice needed guys
Hi guys had my rifle back from the shop, the owner of the shop reckons my brand new chronograph is not working correct because he put the rifle on his and the gun is firing consistent 755 fps so happy days.although I don't know why my chronograph is not working correctly??anyway I havnt had a chance to test the rifle yet but fingers crossed.
On another note.my 10 shot air arms kit came today now I installed it simple enough but it's destroying the o ring on the probe all the time?I've used 3 already.ive tried adjusting the adjuster on the magazine housing but just can't seem to get it lined up and cocking smooth?has any one else experienced this issue and have some advice.cheers guys
