S510 - Air "Puffing" at Shroud Holes
S510 - Air "Puffing" at Shroud Holes
Hello, I just changed the barrel (breech) o-ring on the .177 caliber S510. This stopped the air blow by coming out through the magazine well, but there is a puff of air coming out of the rear holes on the shroud. Is this normal? Thanks for any replies.

Totally normal, don't worry about it. Rog

Thank for the reply, Rog.
I was concerned that my transfer port seal may need replacement. Looks like a fun job, but I have to order the delrin seal.

Delrin? I thought the transfer port seal on the 510 was just an o-ring, like on the 400 series...
The holes at the breech end of the shroud are the vents that allow the muzzle blast to route back through it and the baffles therein to quieten it.

Yes it's just an o-ring S427 is the one you need, same on all S400/S410/S510 rifles
Re: S510 - Air "Puffing" at Shroud Holes
Some time ago I had this rifle apart and there was a delrin seal that corresponds to part #S610H. Rifle is the s510 x-tra FAC.

Sorry mate, didn't realise it was FAC , yes S610H
