Hi, got my .22 s410f carbine around 3/4months ago
Borrowed a friends chrono the £50 combro4 things and it is coming out at around 10.3ftlbs at 100/120bar and 190bar, and max around 10.8ftlbs at 150ish bar?
Using jsb exact Diablo 15.89g
Is this not a bit low considering the website said it’s an 11+ ftlbs gun? I know with a heavier pellet it might make it come out slightly more power, but I don’t use a heavier pellet so pointless measuring it with a heavier one tbh.
I also then chrono’ed my brothers s410f carbine (also brand new 3months ago) and his power was coming out same as mine.
Both under warrenty with air arms, so is it worth sending them both back?

I would get a few tins of pellets through it first as they tend to creep up in power.
In the winter months they do dip due to the cold.

Did I mention that I'm the only one to have attended EVERY meet since we started

I’ve used it a lot
I’ve Put around 2000pellets through I’d say

That's normal these days straight out of the factory, my S510 runs at about 10.3, and that's ok as it is only for garden use.
Dont be tempted to up the power yourself as you will void the 3 yr warranty. The difference between 10.3 and 11.1 ftlbs is only 20 ft/sec using AA /jsb 16 grain. not enough to worry about.
But for your own peace of mind you could talk to the rfd where you bought them from who can advise if AA would up the power.

I have messaged air arms direct and they have said it should be 11ftlbs+ and they would look at it under warrenty if I get my RFD to send it back. Dunno how long they’d have it for though
Re: New s410f low on power? 10.5ftlbs
That's good news, when my S410 went back to AA under warrenty it took about 3 weeks to come back.
Be interesting to know what power it comes back at.

Re: New s410f low on power? 10.5ftlbs
I had to send my S400f back because the power dropped to mid/low 10ft lbs. I contacted Air Arms first before taking to the RFD. I was told I could take it to a service centre if it was a seal or straightforward power reset.
Because of my particular issue - I had some unusual chrono shifts which eventually turned out to be due to a loose pot - they preferred me to return to the factory via my RFD and John Rothery (the distributor at that time). It took two returns to find the cause; first time AA thought it was a loose venture screw. Each return took about 4 weeks and on the second return the stock got damaged where someone took it out of the original packaging and put it back the wrong way, tearing the supports to make it fit and leaving the bolt in contact with the box so it was forced into the stock. I doubt it happened at AA and I know it didn't at my RFD as I packed it and unpacked it.
So if you don't have any underlying problems you might try an AA Service Centre but you need to get the nod first from AA.

Or you could take out the anti tamper and do the job properly yourself. In a day. Sod the warranty if it takes 4 weeks.

Hi Alex, warranty work would be carried out by Air Arms only and not the service centres. So if they did any work it would generally invalidate the warranty. It would be OK to return to one of our service centres though, and we would arrange to have the gun collected from them. Hopefully they should have the facilities to test the power first for you. Kind Regards, Luke
