Hi there,
I'm hoping for a bit of information with regards to my .177 s410, regulated by Ben Taylor. I had the work done quite a few years ago and they rifle hasn't given me any problems since. However, I recently decided to do a full shot string over the chrony to see what the usable shot count actually was.
From a 200 Bar fill I managed 92 shots before it dropped off the reg at approx 105 bar with a further 10 acceptable velocity shots. Don't get me wrong, 102 shots is plenty but I'm sure I've heard others say they get more in the region of 140-150 shots? Can anybody with the same set up as mine tell me their shot count and (if it is in fact more near to the 140 mark) does anyone now a possible cause of my reduced count?
Many Thanks
Andy

Thanks for the quick reply, my rifles not that far out then. I did wonder if some of the high shot counts were exaggerated.
Just out of interest, what pressure is your reg set to (approx).

Brilliant, thanks for your help
Re: BTAS regged S410 shot count
I get around 100 good shots from my Altaros regged S400 filled to 200 bar. I haven't tried filling it to 210 - yet
Like you, I am not sure about some of the extreme shot counts you hear about, but personally I'm happy with 100.

Hi Alan,
That's good to know. 100 shots is usually more than enough, the only time I've ran out is shooting feral pigeons at the local shopping centre (I did have permission!) and then it wasn't really a problem to nip back to my truck and refill.
I just find it interesting to hear how other peoples outfits perform...I should probably worry about it less and concentrate on shooting

100 shots is a lot of bunnies to carry

I think you would be lucky to even find 100 rabbits in Norfolk this year, let alone shoot em! The myxi has hit really hard round here.
