Well this project took a new step. I had an opportunity to fit the action into a divine walnut bullpup stock made by Wingman. So he modified the scope mounts for me and I am waiting for it to arrive back this week. Here's a photo he sent me.

It's totally reversible too, so if I so desire I can put it back into the original stock. I will fashion a cheek piece with a piece of off cut walnut he has sent me.

What fittings are used to mount the weaver rail on the barrel shroud and does this give a stable platform?

Fittings are custom made by wingman. He originally made a Marauder bullpup. (See the link.) http://nzairgun.com/forum/index.php?topic=325.0
The mounts are attached to the tank, and the shroud is free floating through them. The mounts are also used to attach the trigger linkage.
