Top sear spring
I've stripped my air arms s410 to give it a service, upon taking the trigger apart I noticed that the top sear spring was barely touching the top sear and when I removed the middle sear the top sear didn't spring back so cannot have been under tension.i tried to get the sear spring to sit under the top sear but the little bit of spring broke off.ive ordered a new one from Julian.in the mean time I put the rifle back together minus the top sear spring filled with air and and the rilfe cocks and fires, how is this possible?
Re: Top sear spring
It will work without the top sear spring but it might be a bit sluggish, the spring helps the top sear to disengage from the hammer, if you have a trigger that is over lubed it might not even disengage when you pull the trigger, and if you have a pellet in there! Rog
