Mine has one tiny mark on the barrel. For a used rifle, I don't think you'd find one better?
Or... How about buying a brand new one?

Thanks, but I've decided to go for the latter option, everyone that is selling them used wants circa £400 for them (with dings and scratches) when I can get a brand new Walnut .177 for £499 so I think thats the best way forward.

Yes, good idea, then you know where it's been!
Having said that mine doesn't have dings or scratches in the plural, has an £80 V-Mach kit installed, plus a £30 u.k.neil stripper.

Thanks David,
I think my expectation of used prices for these rifles is somewhat misaligned with most people selling them, so I'll stick with a brand new one for a relatively modest additional investment.
