Re: NIGHT VISION
Hi Sommerfields Trout, I have a Nitesite Viper that is spare. It's complete with everything that came with it when new and works perfectly and isn't beat up and is complete with the original case. It looks almost new. If you are interested drop me a PM(personal message). Regards, Keith

Your duck is dead
Your DUCK IS DEAD A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head and sadly said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away." The dis...

Re: QTec silencer - S510 carbine
Yes Tony the standard QTec does vent back down the shroud and vents through the holes where the shroud reaches the action. I think it acts as an air stripper as well and probably causes some of the sound to go down the shroud so if hunting the quarry is less aware of where the shot came from. I'm th...

Re: S400
Eric, if any of the above suggestions don't work, the problem is most likely to be the barrel has slipped partly out of the brass breach and moved slightly forward. The breach and the barrel have to be removed, cleaned of the existing glue(?), and refitted. I use blue Loctite sparingly. Be careful a...

Re: Hft500 fps
Oops a typo. Lol. I did intend putting in a point.
Yes just over .3ft/lbs.
Tonyc. Thinking about it I don't think I tried the 2 weights of pellets on a classic so perhaps slightly higher as you say.
Well done to the sharp eyed members who spotted that.

Re: Hft500 fps
I don't have a Hft500 but find with the 400 and 500 series rifles an increase of just over 3ftlbs from JSB 8.44gr to JSB 10.34gr.
I have tried this many times and the results are consistent. I'm sure you will be within the legal limit with the power you have set at this time.

Re: Valve stem
You need to fill from a divers bottle when the gun is empty. Cock the gun and give the gun a quick blast from the bottle. This will close the firing valve down onto it's seating. As long as you don't fire the gun down to empty you will be able to use your pump in the future. If you don't know anyone...

Re: S410 presure gauge
My first thought is your diver bottle has a gauge fault and is putting more pressure into the rifle than you think. If I'm correct you will have come very close to blowing the new cylinder. Dry fire the rifle and see if its gauge starts to drop. If it does, refill the rifle from someone else's diver...

Re: General Licences Consultation
Peter, I would like to answer some of the points you raised in your last post. "Some of my shooting friends kill living creatures for sport (your word), some find it abhorrent." Yes I do consider what I do is a sport. Sport is something a person enjoys doing and in my case has the added satisfaction...
