I don't have a Hft500 but find with the 400 and 500 series rifles an increase of just over 3ftlbs from JSB 8.44gr to JSB 10.34gr.

You need to fill from a divers bottle when the gun is empty. Cock the gun and give the gun a quick blast from the bottle. This will close the firing valve down onto it's seating. My first thought is your diver bottle has a gauge fault and is putting more pressure into the rifle than you think. If I'm correct you will have come very close to blowing the new cylinder.
