Re: .22 s410 carbine low on power
Joe, I'm sure its not the pot and even if the firing valve was in poor condition you would do better than that. Take the barrel out and make sure the brass is still attached to it. Probably 2 grub screws on the top and a small one underneath. If its not, clean off the adhesive( like Loctite) and in...

Re: How I cured clipping on s510's
Jammy lol. If only I had been all of my life, especially when putting the lottery on! Ha I think shrouds are bent when the rifle is picked up by the barrel. I'm sure Air Arms don't fit them bent. An additional internal support mid way along its length should prevent this. Drilling an 8mm bit into a ...

Re: How I cured clipping on s510's
Roger, I rolled both shrouds along my kitchen worktop and they were straight. I checked everything I could think of that may have had a bearing on the clipping. I had looked at the Air Arms video on how to check that the barrel was inline with the action. It showed how to alter any misalignment but ...

How I cured clipping on s510's
I have read of a few instances of moderator clipping together with various ways to prevent it happening. Below is how I cured it. I have 2 x s510's bought secondhand with screw in moderators, a .177 and a .22. The .22 has the standard Air Arms mod. I fitted a Qtec(.177) to the .177. Both mods were c...

Re: .22 s410 carbine low on power
Joe, Julian does firing valves for £10 according to his price list. If you are ordering from him and can afford a valve I would go for it. If you order directly from this site you will get some discount, don't know how much. If the valve hasn't been changed since new it won't have a flat face now so...

Re: .22 s410 carbine low on power
Joe, mine is a 2002 version, possibly one of the first, and is pre anti tamper which I believe yours is. It has a firing pot, spring and valve just like the s410f. I think the hammer and spring are the same also. It's been a while since I had mine in bits so can't remember. I've hunted out the origi...

Re: .22 s410 carbine low on power
Hi Joe, my 1st thoughts are use JSB 15.89gr pellets as Roger said. Have you fitted the transfer port 'O' ring properly. Does it need a barrel seal probe 'O' ring. Change it anyway. Clean the barrel and make sure it's fully entered into the action and the barrel transfer port lines up with the action...

Re: S5010 FAC Pellets
Hi Stu,
I don't have any experience of s510 FAC but did watch a youtube by an American who was testing his new s510R FAC 3 days ago.
He is BobO and makes a lot of sense. I'm sure a google will find him.

Re: Air Arms S400F Carbine .177
Richard, as Tonyc said the probe end may be damaged but I doubt that. Make sure the figure of `8` on the barrel is removed before refitting it back together. Loosen off the 6 bolts a full turn and check the bolt movement. If it is free running then retighten the bolts diagonally a bit at a time keep...
