Re: Following on from guns of old

I had a 2lb lead pot on the agas cooker with a dipping ladle. Used to fill a pellet tin in an evening casting 2-3 a minute. Wasn't quick but it was cheap and for spitzers they were reasonably accurate. LEM made the mold tool and included a bag of pellets cast from the supplied mold blocks. If I can ...

Re: Following on from guns of old

Mostly Marksman but I also cast a lot of my own from a pellet mold I bought from an add in one of the gun mags.
Id agree not a lot of choice.

Re: s200, best version?

I put a Rowan engineering barrel support on mine and left out the O ring. With no O ring you get about 25 thou of float, for mine that was enough but I can imagine some rifles may need more float to take account of the barrel to cylinder axis.

Re: almost 2K for the new daystate Pulsar & I still want one

I've had Daystates. I don't any longer. Locktime is in your mind. ATB Ray. If you have ever shot a flintlock youl know what lock time can do to your well aimed shot. The new Daystate just ooks like six of one half dozen of another, and a dopey teenager with a CAD program and an energy drink and not...

Re: 2002 trigger

Never touch the trigger until you are sure its safe to make the shot, How do you put on and take off the safety if you can't touch the trigger ? You are right when you say the best safety is in your head. No-one ever knows until it's too late whether a safety has worked, or not. ATB Ray. Hello Ray ...

Re: 2002 trigger

Now I have to leap to AA's defence on this one. I like the in trigger safety its smooth to use easy to put on and off and makes no attempt to replace the safety that sits between your ears! I drill this into every one I teach to shoot, Never touch the trigger until you are sure its safe to make the ...

Re: air arms history

Historical Revisionism Alert !!!! Wot ?? No S200 ? I know, it is just a CZ Brno marketed by AA but still, a couple of words wouldn't have hurt. My guess would be it is the largest seller by number for Air Arms due to low cost. And one of the better built rifles sold by AA. I consider the S200 to be...

Re: S400 cylinder disassembly

Im glad you got the job done OK. My feeling with AA is they lock tite what they cant easily anti tamper in the hope it will prevent people working on the rifles. What cant be locke tited or anti tampered the murder up as tight as they can. I love the Airarms rifles but this is the one part of the pr...
