Re: Rabbits
I guess grey squirrels are smarter than rabbits. I have only taken 10, in the past few weeks, from my yard, and they have totally wised up.

Re: Air arms TX200 HC
The round holder was used up until a few years ago, so the gun could still be pretty new. I have the round holder on both my full length MarkIII TX's because I think they look better than the newer slab sided holder. They're also a direct swap, if you can find one. The slab side holder has always be...

Re: Pellet sizes
Test different die #'s and buy all you can afford, when you find the right one. Make sure to test at 55 yards and in a breeze. I have 20,000 pellets that are great in calm air, but pretty much crap in a light breeze.

Re: FPoole MHR
Thanks guys. I cooked myself a frozen pizza and looked after my wife and daughter. Both are suffering a bit of virus or food poisoning. They're feeling better now and, once again, I luckily missed out. My next birthday will see me enter another decade and I just can't fathom how I got this old and s...

Re: A question about U.K. farm land
But what if we lay flat on our backs, in a field of blooming rape seed, and shake the plants above us as we snort in? I'm only affected by oak pollen, but I can live with it. I used to take all kinds of prescription medicine for this, but I found that I could just use my will power and wash ou...

Re: A question about U.K. farm land
Thanks, now I know what rape seed looks like in bloom. Looks beautiful, but I wouldn't care for the pollen levels either.

A question about U.K. farm land
I watch some shows here that have nice shots of U.K. farm land. I see large areas covered with yellow flowers that are obviously planted as a crop. What are they? Just something I've always wanted to know.

Re: Pellet speed
With the 8.4 grain Exacts, I've seen U.S. FAC spec guns as high as 960, but I would say 920-940 is more typical.

Re: RWS branded TX200
That's me and, no, we didn't shoot the old guy(my father-in-law). The camera played tricks with the eye on that one. He was actually about a 1/4 of a mile away and to our left a good bit.

Re: tx 200
It will be a MarkII from around 1995. Just finished servicing #9772 and it was a MarkII. I don't know the low end of the MarkII numbers, but I've owned a MarkII that was #16,000 something. My first MarkIII was bought new in 2000 and has a 20,000 range serial number.
